Fall 2017 Face It® Newsletter

The Kosair Charities® Face It® continues to engage and activate our partners and community members  by attending events like NuLu Fest, convening our partners to talk about upcoming work, releasing a new tool to help caregivers prevent and recognize abuse, and launching our biweekly Face It Friday emails to keep everyone updated on all things Face It!

The Face It Movement continues to grow in partnerships and work. It is a long journey with many steps, as there is no magic wand to end child abuse. As a community, we must work together to face it and end it.

Introducing the Newest Face It Tool for Caregivers

The Face It Movement has partnered with the Kentucky Association of Children’s Advocacy Centers and Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky to create a new tool, Body Safety 101: A caregiver’s guide to empowering your child and safe body boundaries. The guide offers parents and caregivers tips on taking steps to surround children with safe caregivers in safe environments and talking with children about their bodies, body safety, and personal boundaries. Body Safety 101 is our next step to ensuring everyone who cares for our kids will feel supported and work to keep all kids safe.

Order copies of Body Safety 101 to share with parents and caregivers at places like your local library, agency’s waiting room, pediatrician’s office, or child care center.
