Winter 2018 Face It® Newsletter

The Kosair Charities® Face It® Movement continues to engage and activate our partners and community members by attending and sponsoring events like The Kentucky Book Fair, releasing our 2018 Policy Priorities, continuing to publish communications about child abuse prevention, and distributing our new Body Safety 101 Guides!

The Face It Movement continues to grow in partnerships and work. It is a long journey with many steps, as there is no magic wand to end child abuse. As a community, we must work together to face it and end it.

Introducing the 2018 Face It Policy Priorities

Face It has released the 2018 legislative priorities. Thanks to the hard work of the Face It Policy Team, we continue to look upstream in our efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect by advocating for common sense policies that lead to large scale, proactive differences.  Each year during the Kentucky General Assembly, Face It partners actively work on several policies that will prevent and end abuse.

The 2018 priorities keep kids safe by prioritizing adequately funded systems, increasing transparency, and ensuring a child’s voice in court is heard. Once filed, these bills will require action from Face It advocates to help them progress and make their way to the Governor’s desk. You can see all of the 2018 Face It Policy Priorities by clicking here and prior policy wins on Face It’s Policy Page.

Find out who your Kentucky Senator and Representative are at http://www.lrc.ky.gov/. Email, write a letter, or leave a voice message for your legislator urging them to take action on the above items in support of the Face It® Movement to end child abuse.
