SUMMARY:Healing TREE - Silk Screening + Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Healing TREE hosts workshops for high schoolers\, college students and community members on the most insidious red flags of abuse and trauma\, built around their short film Silk.\n\nHealing TREE’s short film Silk\, and accompanying workshop with guided discussion\, illustrate\, educate on and explore the most insidious forms of abuse and trauma. Silk stars mainstream talent\, and was an Official Selection at an Academy Award Qualifying Film Festival. It engages high schoolers\, college students and community members to have an open conversation about these important but often undiscussed topics. Pre and post engagement assessments ensure that folks walk away far better equipped to heal from the aftermath of what too many may have faced and to prevent themselves and others from being victimized by\, or perpetrating\, abusive situations in the future. DESCRIPTION:4C’s Free Virtual Training for Early Childhood Professionals\nStrengthening Families: Social and Emotional Development\nThis training will help you understand how to support children in learning how to positively interact with others\, self-regulate their behaviors\, and effectively communicate their feelings – all of which have positive impacts on their relationships with family members\, other adults\, and peers. Challenging behaviors or delayed development can create extra stress for families\, so early identification and support for both parents and the child are critical to keeping children on track. It’s never easy to start these conversations\, and it can be hard to find the right resources. Join 4-C to discover some talking points\, local resources\, and more!
