SUMMARY:Face It's The Art of Healing
DESCRIPTION:Join The Face It Movement for The Art of Healing. \nThe long-term effects of childhood abuse impacts our communities and those we love. Local artists will demonstrate how different forms of creative expression play a role in the healing journey from the deep-rooted effects of childhood abuse. \nThere will be interactive stations for attendees to participate in. Come learn how to connect the mind and body\, support survivors in their healing journeys\, and build resilience in our communities through creative expression. \nThis is a FREE event with refreshments and light snacks provided. SUMMARY:Preventing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect
DESCRIPTION:April is Child Abuse Awareness month and this training will focus on understanding and recognizing the signs of child abuse and neglect\, including Shaken Baby Syndrome. Providers will learn what actions are required of them when reporting suspected abuse and discuss prevention strategies when working with at-risk families. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Kosair for Kids Face It Movement. \nNotice: This is an online class.  Please make sure you include a valid email address when registering and that you have internet and email access at the time of the training.
