DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 23rd Annual Stand Up for a Brighter Tomorrow Conference in Prestonsburg\, Kentucky on April 12\, 2024! 8am. Doors open at 7:45am. \nStand Up for a Brighter Tomorrow is an annual Behavioral Health Conference on the emotional well-being of children\, adolescents and young adults. This Conference benefits professionals\, parents and others interested in increasing their knowledge about sexual assault and/or interpersonal violence and emotional and/or behavioral disorders found in children\, adolescents and young adults. \nRegister no later than March 27\, 2024. \nWorkshops include: Domestic Minor Familial Sex Trafficking; Behavioral Health Care is Health Care: Using Integrated Care to Address Holistic Health Needs and Trauma’s Impact; and Invisible Injuries: Traumatic Brain Injury\, Strangulation\, and Violence. \nCEU credits are approved for all workshops by the Kentucky Board of Social Work and Licensed Professional Board of Counselors\, the Kentucky Board of Examiners in Psychology\, and are pending by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Attendees must attend an entire workshop and complete a written evaluation to receive CEUs. \nThis conference is hosted by Mountain Comprehensive Care Center’s Healing Program for Survivors of Sexual Assault & Interpersonal Violence.
