SUMMARY:Big BLUE Event!
DESCRIPTION:The Cabinet for Health and Family Services of Northern Kentucky is hosting their 3rd annual BIG BLUE EVENT to bring awareness and support in the mighty work toward the prevention of child abuse and we want to see you!!! As you may know\, April is Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. \nApril 5th (first Friday is April) is Wear Blue for Kids Day—so show out in all your blue that day. This is typically the day we have held our event\, but this year they’re having the BIG  BLUE EVENT on a different date in order to accommodate an even larger impact as a regional outpouring. In years past Kenton has hosted this effort; in 2019 I am excited and encouraged that we can grow the message of awareness and prevention across even more counties here in Kentucky as we include all the counties in the Northern Bluegrass Service Region. \nThus\, on Wednesday\, April 17th  2019 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Join Face It at the Boone County Cooperative Extension Enrichment Center located at 1824 Patrick Drive\, Burlington\, KY 41005. The gathering will serve as a meet and greet as well as a resource exchange. NBSR awards will also be celebrated that day as well as presentations and updates from leadership both regionally and statewide. Presentations and guest announcements will be held at noon. Immediately following a group picture will be taken and shared on social media\, within the organization\, and with partner agencies to show just how big our BLUE OUT SPIRIT can be when we all join together!!! \n No need to RSVP.

SUMMARY:Grand Rounds- Shared learning that builds a resilient\, trauma-informed community
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, March 26\, 2019  from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Louisville Metro Hall in the Mayor’s Gallery \nPeople impacted by adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are often caught in webs of complexity that challenge the very systems designed to help them. Yet schools\, government\, faith-based organizations\, health and social service agencies\, out-of-school-time providers\, and other community partners often work in siloes\, even as the people they serve have needs requiring coordinated support. \nBounce Grand Rounds is a structured forum to foster cross-sector collaboration and a more resilient\, trauma-informed community—while generating practical solutions for individuals with especially challenging circumstances. \nJoin us for this learning opportunity as a “blinded” case is presented. Participants will brainstorm innovative solutions involving all the sectors needed to implement a comprehensive plan of support. And observing the discussion will build your individual and organizational knowledge and skills. \nPlease register here. Questions? Email admin@bouncelouisville.org
