08 Apr Partner Spotlight: CASA of the River Region
CASA of the River Region supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children so that they can thrive in safe, permanent homes. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) trains community volunteers to be the voice of abused and neglected children. They use their advocacy skills to ensure that children get their basic needs met, receive medical and dental services as needed, and thrive in school. We believe every child needs at least one caring, consistent adult to look out for his/her safety and nurture his/her self-worth. For these kids, the one caring, consistent adult is their CASA advocate.
CASA volunteers are ordinary people who are caring, honest, and committed to doing what is best for a child. No special experience or knowledge is required. Learn more about how you can be a voice for kids at http://www.casariverregion.org/#!volunteer/twvmv.
Support CASA of the River Region every Tuesday in April by stopping in at participating Chili’s restaurants. Learn more here.
