Face It Friday: Believe it or not, it’s back-to-school time!

Many of Kentucky’s kids are gearing up to go back to school this month. This may be more exciting for parents than it is for kids! Now is a great time to get back on your family’s school year routine. Here are a few tips to ensure a smooth and successful transition back to school:

– Visit your child’s school to help your child learn their way around
– Set a consistent bedtime for your child a week before school begins
– Point out the positive aspects of starting school to create excitement about the first day of class
– Build a parent-teacher relationship early on in the school year

For more tips visit the American Academy of Pediatrics.

All of the back-to-school events are free and open to the public. Students must be accompanied by an adult to receive supplies, and supplies are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
