28 Sep 5 Ways to Honor TEN-4 Day on Sunday, October 4th
Last year, we launched the TEN-4 Bruising Rule resource and video to spread awareness about an important tool and keep kids safe. This year, we are once again honoring October 4th as TEN-4 Day and we invite you to join with us!
5 ways you can participate:
1. Attend one of the FREE virtual trainings (with CEUs!) happening between September 30 and October 8 with Kentucky’s leading experts in child abuse recognition and prevention
2. Watch the TEN-4 Bruising Rule video to learn more and order the brochure to distribute at your pediatrician’s office, community center, or school resource center
3. Utilize the social media toolkit to spread awareness
4. Support a parent or caregiver in your life so they stay connected and feel validated by sending a text or video chatting, dropping off an activity box for the family, or setting up time to virtually play or read a book with their child
5. Make a gift to Kosair Charities in honor of TEN-4 Day to support the important work of the Face It Movement
Keeping kids safe is an adult responsibility. Sharing information on recognizing child abuse and neglect equips adults with the knowledge and tools needed to understand the warning signs, how to report suspicious bruising, and ways to support families to prevent it from happening in the first place.
