15 Jul National Parents’ Day
National Parents’ Day is coming up on July 24. While it’s important to celebrate parents and caregivers every day, today we recognize parents and caregivers, celebrate teamwork in raising kids, and support those providing parental guidance in building strong and resilient kids and families.
Parenting is one of the toughest jobs out there. It takes a LOT of time, energy, and loads of PATIENCE. But, caring for a child is one of the most important jobs an adult can do. So in preparation for and in honor of their dedication, here are a few ideas to support parents and caregivers this week and beyond:
– Ask parents/caregivers how they are doing
– Send a “You are doing great!” text or social media message
– Volunteer to babysit or help out with the kids as a form of respite
– Share local resources to help support parents and families
– Emphasize and support mental wellness for adults and children
It’s up to all of us to build a healthy and safe community for children and families! Learn more about National Parents’ Day, the history, and how you can support parents in your communities: https://parentsday.com/
