Adolescent Drug Use and The Brain

February 27, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

During adolescence, the body and brain are still developing. Drinking alcohol and other substance use during this critical developmental stage can lead to various issues including disrupted brain growth, learning difficulties, and substance abuse. Attend this seminar to learn more about how substance use affects the adolescent brain and what to do if someone you know is struggling.

Henry Fuqua has been practicing in the field of substance use for over 20 years. He is employed by Our Lady of Peace, a part of KentuckyOne Health, and he facilitates an After- School Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Program located on the Oldham County High School Campus.

A light lunch will be provided.

Space is limited so please call Lisa Prewitt at 502.432.2011 to reserve a seat. She can also be reached by e-mail at lisaprewitt@kentuckyonehealth.org.
