Children’s Advocacy Week!

February 6 - February 10

We need you to ask elected officials to prioritize kids in the 2023 legislative session!

SAVE THE DATE for Children’s Advocacy Week, February 6 – 10, 2023

Children’s Advocacy Day at the Capitol began in 2004 as an effort to unite advocates from across the state to raise their voices on behalf of children’s safety, health, education, and economic well-being. Hundreds of advocates from counties across Kentucky gather at the Capitol in Frankfort every year to rally on behalf of children and to promote priorities on the Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children agenda. Because one day is not enough for this important advocacy, we have shifted to Children’s Advocacy Week!

The Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children is a coalition of committed agencies that are working together to make Kentucky a place with thriving communities, strong families, and successful kids. Stay tuned for the launch of the Blueprint for Kentucky’s Children 2023 agenda on December 7, 2022.

If you are a teacher or with a youth-serving organization interested in bringing a group of students to the Capitol for the Rally for Kentucky Kids on February 8, 2023, contact Jami Garth.

Join Kentucky Youth Advocates as we discuss how to prepare for Children’s Advocacy Week, including an overview of events during the week and updates on key policies to discuss with legislators. REGISTER for the Prep Webinar on February 1, 2023 at 10:00 – 11:00 AM ET.
