Face It – Lunch & Learn: When Help is Hard

Join Dr. Darlene Davis Goodwine on April 17 at 12 PM for a virtual Lunch and Learn. 

Parenting can be full of joy and also chaos. It can be tough and that’s OK. We all need help, it’s a normal part of life. Seeking help can also be hard and this conversation aims to provide real tools to make it easier. As a parent, professional or both we can both offer help and ask for help. A panel will discuss why help is so important, what barriers get in the way of receiving or seeking help, and how to encourage parents to get that help. 

Goals

By the end of this training, participants will have a better understanding of:

  • Barriers to help seeking
  • Barriers to receiving help
  • Actionable ways to connect and offer support
  • ​​​​​​​Actionable ways an organization or an individual can build relationships and offer help
