Face It – The Art of Healing 2024

April 23, 2024 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us on Tuesday April 23, 2024 for The Art of Healing from 5:30-8:30 PM at Ice House (226 E Washington St. Louisville, KY.)

The deep-rooted effects of childhood abuse impact our communities and those we love. Local artists will showcase how creative expression aids in healing. Interactive stations will demonstrate connecting mind and body, supporting survivors, and building community resilience through art, music, and movement,

This is a free event with refreshments and light snacks provided. Due to the sensitive nature, this event is recommended for adults and teens ages 13 and up. Funded in part by Fund For The Arts. *This event will not be providing art therapy but will be demonstrating various modalities that other people have found helpful in their healing journeys.*

5:00-5:15 pm – Doors Open
5:30 – 6:00 pm – Program with performances from local artists *Begins promptly at 5:30pm
6:00 – 7:30 pm – Attendees will have the opportunity to experience their choice of 13 interactive stations, including a variety of visual arts activities, dance, music, theatre, group drumming, and yoga

*Please park at the parking garage directly across from the venue, and enter at either entrance on Brook Street or Floyd Street. Simply pull up to the parking garage, and the arms will raise as it is free to the public. There is also street parking available.
