Pinwheel Planting at KY State Capitol to Kick Off CAPM 2019 · Hosted by Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky (PCAK)
Join Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky (PCAK) staff, Board of Directors, PCAK Partners in Prevention, KY elected officials, appointed officials, friends and even family, as we kick off April, Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAPM) 2019 with a Pinwheel Planting at the KY State Capitol.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month – throughout the month, we raise awareness, increase communities’ capacity to strengthen families, educate children on their right to be safe, and expand policy makers’ understanding of child abuse prevention. Pinwheels for Prevention is a national campaign of Prevent Child Abuse America, reminding all of the uplifting and great childhood all children deserve. PCAK hopes to use the blue and silver pinwheel to educate communities on child abuse and neglect prevention, not only during Child Abuse Prevention Month, but throughout the year.
