RESILIENCE: THE BIOLOGY OF STRESS & THE SCIENCE OF HOPE is a one-hour documentary that chronicles the birth of a new movement using cutting-edge brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction and disease. RESILIENCE chronicles the promising beginnings of a national movement to prevent childhood trauma, treat toxic stress and greatly improve the health of future generations. Physicians, educators, social workers and communities are daring to talk about the effects of divorce, abuse and neglect and helping people bounce back from adversity.
Joe Bargione, PhD will lead the discussion after the film. Dr. Bargione is a licensed psychologist recently retired from JCPS with 26 years of experience. He is a leader of the Bounce Coalition which is dedicated to building the resilience of children and families by improving knowledge about the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and the skills to help youth bounce back from adversity.
